FUNERAL DESIGN & SERVICES
As anyone that chooses funeral services as a career will tell you, I didn’t choose funeral… it chose me. After spending over quarter of a century in graphic design, I saw the corporate end, but also saw a huge need for beautiful design in an area that not many people tend to focus on – funerals. After some years of thought, I enrolled at FTCC and am completing the Funeral Director’s program May 2024.
As a funeral
graphic designer, I specialize in crafting visuals for memorial events, aiming
to honor the departed and bring comfort to grieving hearts. From designing
funeral programs, memorial cards, and obituary layouts to creating personalized
keepsakes, my work serves as a heartfelt tribute to those we’ve lost.
Every detail, from photographs to quotes, is carefully curated to create meaningful mementos for mourners. Working closely with other funeral professionals, I ensure that each visual element aligns with the wishes of the departed and their loved ones, approaching the task with sensitivity and empathy.
Through my designs, I strive to capture the essence of the deceased, evoking emotions and fostering unity among attendees. These visuals not only guide mourners through the service but also serve as tangible reminders of the life that was lived, providing solace and comfort during a time of loss.
Additionally, I collaborate with funeral homes to enhance their professional image through polished design. By creating visually cohesive materials for their business, such as brochures, signage, and online presence, I help them convey professionalism and compassion to their clients.
